Day one was spent scouting the convention floor as we tried to pinpoint the noteworthy visits and products on display. Day 2 was supposed to be an efficient process as we knew where we needed to be but we felt like we were wandering the desert as so many trends were prevalent. Innovation is key but when a newer product or trend such as Fat Tire bikes or 650b become industry adopted, you end up walking around booths and everything seems familiar. That does not take away the beauty of the products but it does take away the punch. This is your chance to hit the floor through our eyes and tell us what you hate and what you love.
At the end of Day 2 we had been invited to the Teva booth for a low key happy hour that was not advertised. It was a true blast to chill with the Teva crew and interview and hang out some of the guys like : Chad Kagy, Steve Mccann, Cam McCaul, and Kelly Mcgrary. TheDirtyWheel crew gives a big shout out of thanks for the hospitality and one of the best vibes we witnessed from any group at Interbike 2012. Teva is set on growing their reputation in cycling shoes with numerous new options coming in 2013 and they continue to support the growth of our industry and its athletes. To that, we lift our boot!

LoadedUSA had this Carbine 27.5 decked out in their new 605b X-Lite wheel that is said to weigh less than an upcoming carbon fiber model

The BLK MRKT ROAM is the first full suspension offering from Carter Holland and it was well received at Interbike 2012
 The Rear dropouts of the Roam allowe for some fine tuning Blk mrkt bikes is owned by rider Carter Holland and anyone into the DJ/BMX scenes knows the back story of how BM was born. Interbike would not be complete without GoPro giving away HD cameras and drawing the largest/loudest crowds.
Fat bikes were everywhere and surprisingly as much as we like this one, it wasn't even one of the nicer ones
Belt Drives were another popular trend and Interbike. So it was no surprise to see one on this Fat Bike

Traveling from booth to booth can really be tiring. Fortunately GU and a number of manufacturers were there to fuel you as you worked Interbike.
 Look for our Interbike Highlight of this polarizing offering. They are working with Santa Cruz to integrate this external motor into the frame. Or it can be retrofitted to your existing bike. |  Torker had this Mountain UNI available with a 3.9 tire |  We didn't ask but the boots make us think DJ My Little Pony |
 Interviewing BMX legend Chad Kagy Teva got really quite when we asked them if they had been trying to clone Cam McCaul. Cam however was a great sport when we asked him to pose with himself for our amusement. Day 2 was a lot of fun. Stay tuned for our Day 3 installment. |  |
