What a day it was for TheDirtyWheel at Interbike 2011. This being our inaugural visit, we were not quite prepared for the sheer size of the show. It was such a large floor, combined with what must be the absolute worst map I have ever seen. We soon realized that we had no shot at covering everything in a single day. Somehow the stars that aligned to make it possible for us to go, also decided they would throw a wrench in our spokes to see how we would deal. The dayplanner with our must visit booths and product overview requests from fans.... left at home. The new SD Card in our camera .... corrupt and last but not least our brains soft, from a long drive coupled with a 4:30 a.m.night on the strip.(Clearly our fault)
All these things could not ruin our overall experience at the show itself. As you can see below, this was a wham-bam affair that left us drained.
Trip recap looks something like this:
27 total hours
4 1/2 hour drive to Vegas
5 1/2 hours on strip
3 1/2 hours sleep
8 hours at the show
4 1/2 hour drive home
1 hour spent eating Breakfast and post show Lunch/Dinner
Somehow we managed to miss some of the larger exhibitors such as: Shimano(dont ask), Hayes Components(bummed), 661, and a few others. We did meet a ton of the cool people behind the products we love and scored a little schwag along the way. Stay tuned for photos and impressions in the coming hours ....
